Here’s how: If you have children at primary school or nursery……….
If you’re not a parent with school age children…………..
As well as getting in touch with your local schools, another great way of generating interest is to give a talk at a school assembly. Children are always fascinated to hear how milk is produced and it’s amazing what they take in. We often get requests from schools for farmers who are experienced in talking/presenting to children and willing to talk about milk production and it’s great for us to be able to volunteer a name. Equally, your local School Milk Project Facilitator would be more than happy for you to join them at one of their class talks or assemblies. So if you find it easy to communicate with children between the ages of 5 and 11, or have spoken/presented to children before we’d love to hear from you. Why not go one step further and open up your farm for school visits? or if you are interested in supplying your milk to schools in your local area and would like more information on how to do this, please email diane.cannon@dairyco.org.uk. |
